Throwback Thursday: The Instrumental by Lupe Fiasco

If you are like me, then when you hear new music, you instantly start imagining what the video would look like. Often times, artists disappoint us with boring, watered down videos with themes that have nothing to do with the song. However, eight years later, one artist never fails to get our mind thinking: even eight years later!

A new video from Lupe Fiasco’s debut album, Food & Liquor, has just been released! The Instrumental paints a picture of people being consumed by the box they are staring at, which is taking over their life. Eight years later, this song still resonates, because we see more today, than we did then, that we are influenced by the technological boxes around us (television, computers, phones). Pick up a book before your voice becomes an instrumental!
